Saniku Gakuin
Saniku Gakuin Santa Clara Japanese School is a proposed new private after-school institution and cultural center for the Japanese Silicon Valley community. It aims to nurture the harmonious development of student’s physical, mental, and spiritual capacity within the Japanese Silicon Valley Community. Since its founding in the early 1970s, the enrolment for its after-school program has risen more than the capacity of their current school establishment can handle. The proposed site development and design for Saniku Gakuin replaces the existing two-storey building on site with a new structure that includes an administration building, five modular duplex classrooms, and a semi-subterranean parking. It is set to accommodate up to 420 students, 13 full time teachers, and eight (8) part-time office workers.
